We are happy to announce that the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations at its meeting of April 2016 adopted the recommendation of the Commitee on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to grant SPECIAL CONSULTATIVE STATUS to our organization, Christian associations of Italian Laborers (ACLI).

Consultative status enables us to actively engage with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies (General Assembly, Human Rights Council and other United Nations intergovernmental bodies) and entitles us to designate official representatives to the United Nations in New York. Our representatives will be able to participate in events, conferences and activities of the United Nations and to sit as observers at public meetings of ECOSOC.
